It takes courage to stop blending inIn other words, are you really living?

“The opposite of courage in our society is not cowardice, it is conformity.”
~~ Earl Nightingale

Most of us have spent so long fitting in and following the masses we no longer know what it’s like to be free.

Part of being free is feeling fulfilled. Living a meaningful life; doing what you love.

If someone stopped you in the street and asked, “What do you TRULY want?” what would you answer?

The answer isn’t always easy because we’ve suppressed our deepest desires.

Many people strive for their dream home and car because deep down they believe it’s the path to a meaningful, fulfilled life. Agreed, we ought to have such things, but don’t expect them to give meaning to life.

If meaning does NOT come from the house or the car, where does it come from?

You have to take a risk which is to start asking yourself every day, “What do I TRULY want?”

Not what you think you should do.
Not what everyone else thinks you should do.
Not what makes other people happy.

What do YOU really want?

When you answer that question you’ll notice a part of you LEAPING with excitement at the possibility.

If you are not living the life you really want, then are you really living?

“Can I really be, do and have what I TRULY want?”

The answer is 100% YES you can.

It takes courage to stop blending in and being like everyone else.
Society has for the most part turned us into clones that must follow certain laid out paths.

Paths that are considered appropriate.
Paths that get approval.
Paths that eventually lead to frustration, sadness, and in some cases, a feeling of being dead inside.

We’ve been conditioned to believe that it’s unsafe to be different but the opposite is true.

“If I want to be free I’ve got to be me.”
~~ Bill Gove

It is only when you are living your truth and expressing your uniqueness that you will feel ALIVE, happy and fulfilled.

Read the following affirmations aloud for the next 30 days:

  • I feel completely free to be me.
  • I deserve to live my life the way I want to live it.
  • I am courageously taking action towards living my dreams.
  • When I am doing what I love and expressing my talents and abilities, I am fulfilling my purpose and helping my family and the world.
  • Every day I have more courage to be the real me.

Reading these affirmations aloud every day will develop your courage and belief in yourself.

When we decide to go for what we TRULY want, we often experience resistance and disapproval from our loved ones because like most people, our loved ones dislike change. It means they have to face the unknown.

They’d rather you conform, retreat back into the status quo and play it safe. That is not unusual and it will pass.

Stepping towards freedom and living your truth feels risky but you must do it.

Courage is needed because you will want to please and not hurt those you love.

The truth is when you decide to go for it you automatically become a greater asset and leader for your family, friends and community.

You will be leading others into living their freedom.

If you don’t go for it, you’ll ultimately become a drain on your family and society because you’ll be empty, living without passion and only pretending to be happy.

Wouldn’t you rather become an inspiration?

Stick with going for what you truly want and notice how your loved ones start looking up to you.

Morpheus: Do you believe in fate, Neo?
Neo: No.
Morpheus: Why not?
Neo: Because I don’t like the idea that I’m not in control of my life.
~~ From the movie “The Matrix”

Most of us need support because it’s challenging to do this alone, and it’s a lot easier and way more fun doing it with like-minded people.

Don’t live in regret, waiting until you’re 90 years old, wondering how life could have been different if only you’d allowed yourself to give the idea a go.

Get in touch with the right people – those who specialise in showing you how to move all the way into living the life you truly want.

Once you’ve tasted freedom you will never turn back.
